How to merge PDFs

Questions

Is merging PDFs here really private?
Yes. The merge runs in your browser using WebAssembly — your files are read from disk into this tab and never sent over the network. You can confirm it by watching your browser's network panel while a job runs.
Can I change the order after I've added files?
Yes — drag any row by its handle to reorder before you press Merge. The final document follows the list top to bottom.
Do links survive the merge?
Internal links and form fields within each source file are preserved. Bookmarks and a combined table of contents aren't carried over yet.
Is there a limit on how many files I can combine?
Up to 30 files in one batch, 100 MB each. That ceiling comes from your device's memory, not a paid tier — most desktop machines can go well past it.
What happens if one of my PDFs is password-protected?
That file is skipped and the panel tells you which one — remove the password with your PDF reader first, then merge the unlocked copy. The rest of the batch still merges normally.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no usage cap. Nothing about your files is logged.

About merging PDFs

Merging is one of the few PDF jobs that doesn't touch the content at all — it copies the page objects from each source file into a new document, in order, and rebuilds the table that points to them. Nothing is re-rendered or re-encoded, so image quality and text fidelity are exactly what they were in the originals.
That also means it's fast: a 200-page merge across a dozen files typically finishes in under a second once the files are loaded, because there's no recompression step to wait on. Everything runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, never queued on a server, and never deleted from one — because they were never there.
